Modern Mold & Tool Inc. in Pittsfield Sold

Steven L. Graham of East Longmeadow has purchased Modern Mold and Tool, Inc, based in Pittsfield, according to a news release issued by Graham this week.
Modern Mold and Tool Inc. is an American manufacturing company founded in 1950 in Pittsfield. The company specializes in design engineering, complex mold manufacturing and injection molding across multiple industries including medical, aerospace, national defense and automotive.
“The addition of Modern Mold and Tool to the existing portfolio of extrusion, compounding and injection molding companies allows for a more competitive proposition for customers to consider as well as providing a competitive advantage in producing molds in a condensed time frame with superior quality,” Graham said in a news release.
David Pedrotti, second generation owner of Modern Mold, will remain as president and focus on business development activities. ”
Modern Mold has facilities in both Pittsfield and Ormond Beach, Florida, employing more than 50 employees.
Graham also said:
“Mold manufacturing in the US has been the victim of overseas pricing which has compromised quality. The reshoring initiative which is currently popular with most Americans, has led to the domestic resurgence of mold making that Modern Mold, with their competency, technology and ingenuity now provides the platform to answer this demand.”
