Apprenticeships & Internships

Toner Plastics understands how fortunate we are to have a highly trained group of professionals operating our business. We also realize that as our business continues to grow, our employees move further toward retirement. We need a reliable source of talent to fill those positions. Founded in 1989, Toner Plastics based in East Longmeadow, MA specializes in extrusion and injection molding manufacturing.

Our Modern Mold & Tool division in Pittsfield, MA is the custom injection mold making and molding arm of the group and services many high-tech industries such as medical, aerospace, automotive, and defense. Our primary focus is making high quality injection molds and producing molded medical components for several market leading customers. We also have an injection molding operation in Ormond Beach, Florida that is purpose-built to service our medical customers locally.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Production Manager for our injection molding factory in Pittsfield, MA. The ideal candidate is a seasoned injection molding manager with a strong background in injection molding processing to lead our technical teams to develop new business, solve processing problems, and improve our operation.

We will consider a wide range of candidates with experience, education, and upward mobility considered. Candidates with strong injection molding processing skills are preferred.

Position Summary

The Operator is responsible for safely operating injection molding machines and other secondary process equipment to produce plastic parts that meet quality and production requirements. Duties include monitoring machines during operation, visually inspecting parts for defects such as flash, short shots, or contamination, trimming gates or runners as needed, packaging finished parts according to work instructions, labeling containers, and accurately recording production counts and scrap.
