Apprenticeships & Internships

Toner Plastics understands how fortunate we are to have a highly trained group of professionals operating our business. Job Summary:

Detail-oriented staff accountant with demonstrated progressive experience who is looking for an opportunity to grow. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in core accounting principles, proven skills in Excel, and hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Human Resources, and General Ledger activities as well as Human Resources. This position plays a key role in supporting the monthly close process.

Core Accounting Duties:

  • Oversee daily A/P and A/R operations, ensuring accuracy & completeness.
  • Review, process and record weekly Payrolls, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain the G/L including reconciliations and month-end close activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Basic accounting tasks for affiliate entities.

Human Resources:

  • Manage HR functions, including onboarding, benefits coordination, policy administration, employee reviews, disciplinary actions and maintenance of personnel records.
  • Handle annual insurance renewals.
  • Manage various claims processing.

Workers Comp/OSHA/Safety Administration:

  • Manage worker’s compensation and OSHA compliance

Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly financials and various internal reports.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, solid accounting experience within a manufacturing environment and possess strong logical thinking skills and the desire to learn and grow. As a small company, we need someone who is willing to cover all roles necessary within the accounting area and who takes pride in their work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated progressing accounting experience.
  • Prior experience working with HR and employee benefits.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary.
  • Experience with software such as Sage 300 and QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Founded in 1989, Toner Plastics based in East Longmeadow, MA specializes in extrusion and injection molding manufacturing.

Our Modern Mold & Tool division in Pittsfield, MA is the custom injection mold making and molding arm of the group and services many high-tech industries such as medical, aerospace, automotive, and defense. Our primary focus is making high quality injection molds and producing molded medical components for several market leading customers. We also have an injection molding operation in Ormond Beach, Florida that is purpose-built to service our medical customers locally.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Production Manager for our injection molding factory in Pittsfield, MA. The ideal candidate is a seasoned injection molding manager with a strong background in injection molding processing to lead our technical teams to develop new business, solve processing problems, and improve our operation.

We will consider a wide range of candidates with experience, education, and upward mobility considered. Candidates with strong injection molding processing skills are preferred.
